On the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey. It is a very old legend that St. Patrick came back to Britain in his old age, collected together some hermits he found near Glastonbury and became their first Abbot there. There is no sound evidence, documentary or archaeological, that the Apostle of Ireland either lived or died at Glastonbury.
The chapel was built around 1500 to provide religious services for the abbeys almshouse for women. It was restored between 2008 and 2010. The stained glass window and frescoes were added in the restoration.
