The monument to the famous poet Adomas MickeviÄius (Adam Mickiewicz) was unveiled in 1984. It is surrounded by slabs decorated with bas-reliefs picturing the themes of “VÄ—linÄ—s†poem (sculptor H. Kuna)
What caught my eye was this modern statue next to two very old churches.
